Nature as our △ business mentor
Nature has so much to teach us in the realm of business.
I imagine our businesses as gardens. There are different cycles we move through towards our journey to success, to thriving, to abundance.
Let me explain…
We begin by preparing the soil, laying the groundwork and deciding what to plant. We create a foundation. This could be our mission, our vision, our desires. We focus on creating a cohesive, supportive environment between all the elements — the soil, the plants, the bugs. In business, this thread woven between our vision and offers creates a cohesive brand (if we want to use business terms).
Once the soil is ready, we begin planting seeds with intention and care. This is when we release our business, or new projects, offers, or services into the world. We have to let them go and trust that they’re ready.
This beautiful step between preparing and releasing is where the magic is.
Once the seeds are planted, we lovingly water them daily. The results aren’t instantaneous like our culture so desperately wants to believe. For true resiliency, it takes time. It takes trust and dedication. Even if we can’t see the results, we keep showing up. We keep watering.
This process of nurturing is much like marketing. We share with our community and we let people know that we’ve got a badass garden growing ;)
And loves, we can’t forget to weed along the way. If our garden gets overcrowded with too much, too soon — the plants become weak, depleted and compete with one another. Isn’t it more worth it to have a garden with a few strong, beautiful plants, than a whole bed of struggling shoots?
Remember to let services, offers, or projects go, if they're no longer in alignment.
Then the time comes when our sweet little plants bear fruit. Abundance has arrived! When the cycle is completed, we celebrate and rest. Before we begin again...

P.S. If you’d like to explore this concept deeper in your journal, answer the following questions:
What are your goals and desires for the next six months? What would you like to plant, what would you like to nurture, and what would you like to weed? What does true abundance look like for you? Is it your ideal income, the freedom to take an international trip, a plethora of clients flowing our way, or...?
