Business as △ a spiritual practice
What if…
You could stop trying so hard.
Stop caring so much.
Stop grasping, clinging, or controlling the outcome.
Maybe this is a radical concept for you. It was for me.
What if you could soften and approach your life (and work) with curiosity? What if the universe is trying to bring you far more than you could imagine, yet you are so stuck in a version of what it should look like?
What if the key is to surrender?
What if the secret is to trust?
Our culture wants us to hustle, to push, to perfect, to move from thought to action in an instant. The idea is to do more not less. To fill our plates and our to-do lists, to pack each day with all the things that we think we should be doing.
I believe the answer is in doing less.
I’m not saying to sit on a meditation pillow and do nothing. Instead I’m suggesting: look at all the things you're doing, look at all the ways that you’re trying to control, look at all of the tasks that feel exhausting and uninspiring — and then, ask yourself what’s really important?
How can you can lighten your load? Create more expansion and openness? What is your physical body craving right now?
Maybe just for today…
Close your laptop and instead open a juicy novel.
Let go of the to-do list and go for a long hike.
Decide that you’ll take a month-long break from social media.
Say no.
Put down the heavy weight, guilt, and burdens. Just for today.
