5 ways to create resiliency in your business

Resiliency has been on my mind lately.

These times are shaking us awake — inviting us to become stronger and wiser.

In each moment, we're given a choice. We can either choose fear and despair — or activation and resiliency. This is not to say that we can't feel the full wave of emotions, it's how long we dwell in fear-based thinking. If we choose to rise, we can allow this time to transform how we show up in our business.

Because it's truly essential to have a business that flexes, flows and thrives regardless of what comes our way. Remember loves, we're in it for the long game. This is our soul work — our calling. In order to create longevity, we need to set up a lasting foundation.

To support your business resiliency and sustainability, I've shared 5 different strategies you can explore below. Take what resonates & bless the rest.

5 ways to create resiliency in your business.

— These are in no particular order —

Design Your Sacred Triangle

(Aka identify and diversify your offers)

I love the idea of a Sacred Triangle as it helps to envision your business in this way. The top of your triangle is your signature offer or service. High touch, nuanced and unique to you. It's the most energy intensive and can involve one on one time. The middle of the triangle is more accessible. It may focus on small group experiences, online programs, or a less intensive way of working with you. Then at the bottom is the entry point. It's accessible to many and serves as a pathway for your audience to taste your work. This could look like a single session, online courses, workshops, classes, and more. This is all to say, explore the idea of creating multiple streams of revenue in your business!

Create Sustainable Income

Create long-term offers and services rather than focusing on a one-off approach. This can look like 3 - 9 month long offers. We're seeing so many of these, and there's a reason why: they allow for in-depth work, lasting transformation AND sustainable income. I recommend offering payment plans for longer offers or programs, as it's helpful for your community plus it creates regular payments on your end, too.

Be Adaptable

Stay flexible, creative and innovative. This allows your business to thrive regardless of the external world. I'm loving seeing so many businesses change how they're showing up to be fully present to what's unfolding. An example of this is Chrome Industries, a Portland-based bike gear company. They're shifting their services to offer mask making workshops and DIY design kits. Super inspiring, right? So, what are ways you can evolve your business?

Embrace Community Support

We need each other. We're not meant to do this work alone. It's through a business support network that you can stay inspired and motivated. Choose to surround yourself with high-vibe humans who lift you up. This can look like regular tea dates with a business friend, a small group of business owners who meet monthly, an online mastermind, a mentor or someone you hire. Find your people.

Use Your Intuition

Your intuition is your grounded guide through tumultuous times. It will bring you back to your deep sense of knowing. I use my intuition when I need to shift out of a fear state and into an expanded, loving state. It's from this place that I make all my big business decisions. If you don't have a practice to connect with your intuition, I highly recommend creating one. This could be through free writing in your journal, meditating, being out in nature, or taking a bath. These are just suggestions. Find what works for you!
