Money △ releasing blocks, old stories + beliefs
Oh, money.
It can be expansive, abundant, frustrating — and generally brings up so many complex emotions. Emotions deeply rooted in our own childhood experiences. Emotions that we may not even be fully aware of yet!
I felt it was important to open the conversation surrounding this taboo topic, as our relationship with money directly impacts our ability to create financially abundant businesses.
I deeply believe that we have to do our money work to clear away any blocks that are limiting us from receiving financial flow. Blocks such as negative beliefs that we picked up from our dear parents.
For example, I grew up in a financially strapped household with a single mama who believed in selfless service. Since she ran her own business, this created a challenging dynamic with receiving. I adopted these beliefs and spent much of my twenties working myself to the bone and not valuing my time. Or my worth. Of course, I then brought these beliefs into the first couple of businesses I began. (You can imagine the results!)
It took going deep into my money stories to break these patterns. Many, many heart-opening, deeply uncomfortable, tearful conversations with coaches, healers, and friends to fully understand how my subconscious beliefs were impacting my business.
The beauty of this process was that as a result, I was able to charge more, set money goals I was energetically aligned with, and create a financially thriving business. (This one!)
